The High Court has reserved judgment on a challenge by Wicklow Green Party Councillor Ms Deirdre de Burca to the privatisation of waste collection services in the county. Ms de Burca claims the private collectors are not authorised to collect household waste and that the council failed for some 20 years to adopt a waste management plan.
The council has denied the claims.
