The Palestinian Prime Minister, Mr Mahmoud Abbas said tonight he had settled his differences with President Yasser Arafat during talks.
"The disputes are over and things are all right," Mr Abbas told reporters after meeting Mr Arafat at the president's devastated headquarters in the West Bank city of Ramallah.
Mr Abbas threatened to quit last week after colleagues said hehad been too soft on Israel in peacemaking efforts.
Palestinian officials said Arafat wanted to weaken Abbas, and Westerndiplomats said the rift threatened a US-led peace "road map".
