JAKARTA - East Timor's governor has written to the Nobel committee to complain about the award of the Peace Prize to two prominent pro independence figures, the Bishop of Dili, Msgr Felipe Ximenes Belo and the exiled activist, Mr Jose Ramos Horta.

Mr Abilio Jose Osario Soares says the award of the prize had "reopened a problem that we felt was left behind".
