Ireland's Derval O'Rourke will contest this afternoon's women's 60m hurdles semi-final.
The 22-year-old Cork athlete had been disqualified from her morning heat after officials said her trail leg crossed an adjoining hurdle.
But on appeal she was deemed to have gained no advantage from the infringement.
O'Rourke was reinstated following an appeal and her time of 8.20 seconds when finishing fifth was good enough to progress to the semis as one of four fastest losers.
