A collection of words in modern spoken Irish relating to sexuality and sexual activity, collected by the author with their meanings and associated phrases - everything you ever wanted to know and were afraid to ask your Irish teacher. A little more than an cupla focal, this Irish amatory vade mecum - which owes a great deal to the lexigraphical prowess of the redoubtable Padraig Ua Maoileoin - contains approximately 800 terms, though needless to say the concepts underlying them are somewhat less plentiful. As always in these matters, there are more words than there is action. But then, only for the word, as was explained centuries ago by Francois, Duc de la Rochefoucauld, not many of us would ever be in love. L.MacC.
