Damien Duff's hamstring problem will keep him out of the Blackburn squad for Manchester City's visit tomorrow.
Hopes that Hakan Sukur might be on the bench for the first time after his broken leg have also come to nothing, but the Turkish striker and Duff should be fit for Rovers' next match in a fortnight.
