Athens - Greek rescue crews yesterday located a German tourist lost for almost two days in a mountainous area in the monastic province of Mount Athos.

Mr Helmut Lein (48) had been kept alive by instructions given to him by monks who contacted him on his mobile phone. They told him what edible plants and berries he could eat while rescuers searched for him.
