Martin offers VEC link

The Minister for Education, Mr Martin, has told the Irish Vocational Education Association, the VECs' management body, that five town VECs due for abolition can become formal sub-committees of their county VECs. He said this would offer the five VECs - Bray, Drogheda, Sligo, Tralee and Wexford - "greater permanency and retain a vital connection between the town and the community".
