A man was rescued by a lifeboat crew after he was found unconscious on a boat on Lough Derg late last night.
The Lough Derg lifeboat crew found the man at the helm of the boat at about 11.40pm, after another person had reported that it was stranded.
The man was described as deeply unconscious and severely hypothermic.
He was treated by paramedics and was then transferred to Limerick Regional Hospital.
