The body of an Irish businessman who died in a hotel accident in South Africa will be flown home this week.

The body of an Irish businessman who died in a hotel accident in South Africa will be flown home this week.

Colm Foley (58) tripped and impaled himself on a ice bucket stand at a hotel restaurant near Cape Town, South Africa, on March 20th.

Paramedics were called immediately but could not dislodge part of the stand from his head, rushing him to hospital.

Doctors performed an eight-hour operation to try and save him, but he died three weeks later.

Mr Foley is survived by his wife and four children.
