ISTANBUL - A Turkish ship sank yesterday after a collision in heavy fog in Istanbul's Bosphorus strait that killed one crew member, port officials and Turkish media said.

The Maltese registered Maria-1 freighter and the Turkish coaster vessel,

Celiktrans, collided near the northern entrance to the strait, a port official said. Anatolian news agency said a crew memher from the Turkish ship died and another was injured.
