A 23 year old man was in hospital last night after two masked men fired shots into his house in Tallaght, Co Dublin. He received a slight wound to the arm.
The incident happened at around 2.30 a.m. yesterday when the man, who was walking towards his house on Kilmartin Drive, saw two men wearing balaclavas coming towards him and ran into his house. The men fired at least two shots, one through the front door and one through a window.
Gardai say the victim is well known to them. A spokeswoman for St James's Hospital said the man's injuries were "not serious".
