A man was in court in Belfast yesterday on a £30,000 blackmail charge linked to the outlawed Ulster Volunteer Force

A man was in court in Belfast yesterday on a £30,000 blackmail charge linked to the outlawed Ulster Volunteer Force. Mr Brian Govan (26), no fixed address, was charged with demanding £30,000 from a Bangor businessman, collecting money for the UVF and posses sing a bullet in suspicious circumstances. He was remanded in custody to the Maze court on August 17th.
