A man (25) is recovering in hospital after suffering gunshot wounds in a paramilitary-style attack at his home in East Belfast.

The attack happened at around 6 p.m. yesterday when a gang of five armed and masked men forced their way into the house and shot the man in his legs and once in a hand.

Three occupants who were in the house at the time of the attack were uninjured.

Police in Belfast are investigating.
