A man (35) has been arrested in connection with the attempted mortar bombing of a police station in the North earlier this year.

Army bomb experts defused the mortar bomb which was left in a van abandoned in Davis Street, close to the PSNI station in Keady, Co Armagh on February 19th.

Detectives from the PSNI's Serious Crime Branch arrested the 35-year-old man in the Antrim area this afternoon.

He is currently being held at Antrim Serious Crime Suite.
