Gardaí in Cork are continuing to question a man who was arrested last night following the seizure of some €400,000 worth of drugs on the southside of the city.
The Latvian national (36) is being held at the Bridewell Garda station in the city and can be detained for up to seven days.
He was arrested after members of the Cork City Divisional Drugs Squad discovered 61kg of cannabis when they raided a house in the Ashcroft area of Ballintemple at around 6.30pm
Detectives found the cannabis along with a small quantity of cocaine and mixing agents in a bedroom in the house.

A Garda spokesman said the seizure followed a surveillance operation targetting drug dealing in Cork city and county by a gang from the Baltic states.
