A man who lost his balance and plunged to the ground while cleaning his chimney died three weeks later from his injuries, an inquest heard yesterday. Mr Jeremiah O'Donoghue (65), of St Brendan's Terrace, Cahirciveen, Co Kerry, suffered severe head and chest injuries in the fall, which occurred on September 5th last.

The acting Cork City Coroner, Mr Pat Dorgan, returned a verdict that death was due to complications from his injuries.
