Gardai are preparing a file for the Director of Public Prosecutions after last night releasing without charge a man arrested in connection with the death in June 1998 of Dublin prostitute Ms Sinead Kelly.

The man, in his early 20s and from Crumlin, was detained at Pearse Street Garda station early yesterday under the Criminal Justice Act and held for the maximum period of 12 hours.

He had previously been arrested in August 1998 as part of the same investigation. Ms Kelly, (21) was found stabbed to death in the Grand Canal area early on June 22nd, 1998.
