Man arrested after heroin seizure

A 37-year-old man has been arrested after heroin with an estimated street value of €2

A 37-year-old man has been arrested after heroin with an estimated street value of €2.25 million was discovered in a house at Mount Andrew Court in Lucan, Co Dublin.

Some 15 kilos of heroin were found during a search of the house by the Clondalkin Drugs Unit.

The search is part of an ongoing operation.

The man is being held at Clondalkin Garda station under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 as amended.
