A Galway man who raped and sexually assaulted his close friend's young daughter has been jailed for four years at the Central Criminal Court. The victim was seven when the abuse began and it continued until she was 10.
The 35-year-old pleaded guilty to two counts of rape and two counts of sexual assault. The offences were committed in Dublin.
