A mother and daughter escaped injury when a blast bomb thrown at their Lurganhouse exploded at the front door causing minor damage late last night.

A second device found in the front garden of the house at Demense Avenue wasdefused by army bomb disposal experts.

Police, who appealed for information about the attack, said they believed itto have had a sectarian motive.
