Two men have been arrested after a lorry was hijacked and set alight in Derry this morning.

Two men have been arrested after a lorry was hijacked and set alight in Derry this morning.

The fire services attended the scene in the Westland Street area of the Bogside at around 7am and the scene has since been described as 'quiet'.

The incident happened followed sporadic incidents of stone-throwing in the city overnight.

A total of four cars were burned overnight in the city.
