LIMA - A Peruvian doctor said the 72 men held captive by rebels were mostly in good shape as the government and guerrillas prepared yesterday for fresh talks today to end the 68 day Lima hostage siege.

The Peruvian government and the Tupac Amarti Revolutionary Movement (MRTA) plan to meet today for the fifth time in two weeks in an attempt to set an agenda for formal negotiations to end the ordeal.
