The ISPCC has announced that it will run a "Make Your Vote Count for Children" campaign in the run up to the next general election.

Child care and protection would be core issues in the election, it was stated at the a.g.m, and the ISPCC would be running a nationwide campaign asking the electorate to determine candidate's commitment to these issues before voting.

Members also expressed concern that investment in child protection and welfare services might be reduced in the forthcoming budget and that child welfare services were still only beginning to reach adequate levels.
