A 21-year-old Irish camp counsellor was killed by a pick-up truck in the US state of Oregon yesterday while trying to cross a road.
The woman died instantly, officials said. She had worked since June as a counsellor at the private youth summer camp near Suttle Lake.
A Department of Foreign Affairs spokesman told ireland.comthe woman had not been officially named as yet.
