A woman in her 70s has died after she was struck by a Luas in Dublin on Thursday morning.
She has been named locally as Patricia Quinn and was from the Tallaght area.
The incident happened at about 10am between the Cookstown and Tallaght Hospital Luas stops.

Luas Red line services were suspended for some time after the incident.

Local Fianna Fáil councillor Charlie O’Connor expressed his sympathies with Ms Quinn’s family and said there is “great sadness and shock” at her death.
“People in the local community are just so shocked and saddened. Patricia and her husband Larry are well known, liked and respected in the community so there is incredible sadness at her passing,” he said.
“Patricia was very involved in the local church and was a very helpful, kind woman so St Mark’s parish has been plunged into grief tonight,” he said.
“I am also thinking of the Luas driver and passengers who witnessed the incident as it was just so terrible and tragic,” he added.
Gardaí in Tallaght are investigating and have appealed for witnesses who were on the tram at the time, on Cookstown Way or any motorist who may have dash-cam footage to contact Tallaght Garda station on 01 666 6000, the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111 or any Garda station.
