Pandora Papers: What is the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists?

The International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ) is an independent, Washington DC-based international network of investigative journalists and media organisations. Launched in 1997 by the Centre for Public Integrity – an American nonprofit investigative journalism organisation – ICIJ was spun off in February 2017 into a fully independent organisation.

Over the years, the ICIJ has released dozens of investigations – including the Pulitzer Prize-winning Panama Papers.

ICIJ's global member network is 280 investigative journalists-strong. It has members in more than 100 countries and territories who work collaboratively on cross-border investigative projects. icij.org/journalists/
