Man dies after house fire in Co Meath

Three people in their 40s were taken to hospital in Navan

A man in his early 40s has died following a house fire in Kells, Co Meath.

The fire broke out at a home in Archdeaconry Glebe about 8.15am on Saturday.

Emergency services brought two men, who were in their 40s, and one woman, in her early 40s, to Our Lady’s Hospital in Navan.

One man was pronounced dead some time later. The other man and woman are not seriously injured but were still in hospital on Saturday .

A Garda spokeswoman said the house has been sealed off for technical examination and enquiries were ongoing.
