Gardaí have identified a man whose body was discovered washed up on the rocks at Aughinish, Kinvara, Co Galway.
Gardaí said he was an 85-year-old man who who was last seen near Salthill, Co Galway on June 17th.
Gardaí in Gort received information about the body at 8.50pm on Sunday.
They had earlier issued an appeal for help from the public in identifying the man.
