THE President, Mrs Robinson, was guest of honour at a state banquet in Reykjavik on the first day of a three day state visit to Iceland.
She had visited Iceland's Supreme Court, House of Parliament, National Gallery and the Arni Magausson Manuscripts Institute. Today, she will attend a lunch in her honour hosted by Iceland's Prime Minister, Mr David Oddson.
Later, she will attend a reception for members of the Irish community and host a dinner in honour of the President of Iceland, Ms Vigdis Finbogadottir.
Tomorrow, President Robinson will visit the University of Iceland and Reykjavik Municipal Art Museum before attending a lunch in her honour hosted by the Mayor of Reykjavik, Mrs Ingibjorg Solrun Gisladottir.
