More than a million people are expected to raise a cup at Ireland's biggest coffee morning today in aid of the Irish Hospice Foundation. The annual fund-raising event takes place in hospices, homes, offices, factories and schools, with 20,000 packets of ground coffee donated by Bewleys.

Maeve Binchy will host a gala coffee morning run by the Irish Hospice Foundation in the Avoca Cafe Restaurant in Suffolk Street, Dublin, at 10 a.m. today.
