About 118 rural primary schools have been selected for extra support as part of a scheme to help disadvantaged schools

About 118 rural primary schools have been selected for extra support as part of a scheme to help disadvantaged schools. They were among 691 rural schools which applied to the Breaking The Cycle scheme.

Each school will receive grants for teaching and learning materials, and an extra grant for each pupil. Some 33 urban schools are to receive similar aid.
