Al-Jazeera television said today that four US soldiers were killed in Iraq when a helicopter came down.
The report could not be immediately confirmed.
Jazeera's correspondent quoted witnesses in the town of Hit, 150 km northwest of Baghdad, saying the helicopter crashed during clashes after armed Iraqis had attacked a local police station.
