London - British Tories like Labour Prime Minister Tony Blair more than they do their own Conservative Party leader, Mr William Hague, according to an opinion poll published today in the Times.
In the poll, 64 per cent of people of all shades of opinion said they liked Mr Blair while only 24 per cent felt a liking for Mr Hague. Among Conservative supporters, pro-Blairs numbered 49 per cent against 41 per cent for Mr Hague. A total of 43 percent of Tories questioned said frankly that they disliked the Tory leader.
