Gardai in Carrickmacross, Co Monaghan, say they have recovered the headstone of the poet, Patrick Kavanagh, and his wife, Katharine. The stone had been taken from their grave at Inniskeen, Co Monaghan, Kavanagh's birthplace, last Monday night.
Two men from Inniskeen are being questioned about the incident at Carrickmacross Garda station.
