Gang ties up, beats man in Belfast home

A man (46) suffered head and eye injuries after he was assaulted last night in his north Belfast home.

A man (46) suffered head and eye injuries after he was assaulted last night in his north Belfast home.

Police say up to three masked men attacked the man shortly before 11pm.

They tied the victim up and attacked him with batons while his 10- and 12-year-old children slept upstairs.

The alarm was raised by a member of the public when the man ran onto the street. Police at Antrim Road are appealing for any witnesses.
