Parents in a 170 pupil Gaelscoil in Mallow, Co Cork, will this morning take their children out of school for a day in protest at the Department of Education's delay in giving the go ahead for a permanent school.
Gaelscoil Thomais Daibhis is housed in two 50 year old prefabs, each containing four classrooms. The principal, Mr Cathal O Riada, said yesterday the roofs of both prefabs are leaking, the windows are rotting and the floors are subsiding in some rooms.
