A FITTER who was to get heroin for driving robbers in his own car has been given a five year suspended sentence by Dublin Circuit Criminal Court after he paid £1,000 compensation to a service station employee where the raid took place.

Hugh McWeeney (23) of Forest Walk, Swords, Co Dublin also provided weapons and disguises for the two men who robbed Kinsealy Service Station on October 21st, 1993.

The court was told he was so fearful for his own life and the safety of his mother that he refused to name the two men he helped.
