Two men have been arrested following paint bomb attacks in Lisburn, police said.

Two men have been arrested following paint bomb attacks in Lisburn, police said.

They were detained for questioning about two attacks in the Old Warren area of the Co Antrim city yesterday.

Three more were arrested for making threats to kill in Lisburn, said the PSNI.

Elsewhere, a north Belfast Methodist church was targeted with paint bombs in a sectarian attack.

Damage was caused to the front of Greencastle Methodist Church on the Whitewell Road shortly before 2am. Police have appealed for witnesses.
