HOSPITAL waiting lists would be tackled "as a priority" if Fianna Fail was returned to government, the party's spokesman on social welfare, Dr Michael Woods, said yesterday. Fianna Fail's aim would be to eliminate waiting lists of over 12 months.
Medical cards would also be provided to those over 80, while income eligibility limits for medical cards would be doubled for those over 65.
Dr Woods said the party would restore funding to the Barnardos help line. He could not understand how the Government was unable to find £20,000 needed for the service.
