Pickets may be placed later this week on Irish Ferries sailings to Britain, the general secretary of the Seamen's Union of Ireland, Mr Willie Stacey, said yesterday. The union earlier placed pickets on Irish Ferries offices in Dublin, Cork and Wexford.

The Seamen's Union is in dispute with Irish Ferries over the company's decision to end its winter services between Rosslare and France.
