FBI warns of Y2K terror

Chicago - The FBI has warned that racists, right-wing groups and religious cults in the US are actively planning violent confrontations to mark the end of the millennium, Martin Kettle reports. It has alerted local police chiefs in the US that it has discovered evidence some of the groups may use the dawn of the new millennium as a catalyst for armed action against government authority and the far right's other enemies.
