Madrid - The Spanish judge who sought to try former Chilean dictator, Gen Augusto Pinochet, asked Mexico yesterday to extradite a former Argentine military officer wanted for "dirty war" atrocities.
Judge Baltasar Garzon hopes to bring Mr Ricardo Miguel Cavallo to Spain, where he was charged on September 1st with genocide, terrorism and torture during Argentina's military rule of 1976-83. Mr Cavallo was arrested in Mexico last month.
