While walking by a nearby river we saw a bird fishing. It was so graceful.

It came from a female frog that had been eaten, probably by a bird. From the photograph you sent, the goo was the spawn regurgitated by the predator.

I discovered lots of ladybirds, perhaps hibernating, on an evergreen plant. I was tempted to move them to a safer place.
