Gardaí in Dublin are appealing for witnesses to an accident this morning in which an elderly cyclist was killed.

Gardaí in Dublin are appealing for witnesses to an accident this morning in which an elderly cyclist was killed.

The collision happened at 11.15 a.m. at the junction of Grand Canal Place and Echlin Street when a man in his 70s cycling a bike was hit by a truck turning left from Echlin Street.

Anyone who witnessed the accident or who has information which may help gardaí investigating is asked to ring Kevin Street station at 01-6669400.
