The British Council has a number of postgraduate scholarships on offer as part of the Chevening Scholarship Awards Scheme 2001.

They're worth between £7,000 and £8,000 and cover full-time study in the UK for one year, in the form of monthly payments, beginning in the autumn of 2001. Tuition fees are not covered. To be eligible you should already be involved in postgraduate study, have a first degree or be sitting degree or equivalent examinations in 2001.
