Dili - Leading Indonesian presidential candidate, Ms Megawati Sukarnoputri, yesterday urged the troubled territory of East Timor to remain part of Indonesia.
During a brief visit, she told a crowd of around 6,000 she felt sympathy for the sufferings of East Timor under Jakarta's rule but believed it would have a better future as part of Indonesia.
