A motion by Dunloe Ewart shareholders to buy back 34 million shares was defeated at a company emergency general meeting today.

Sligly over half the shareholders voted in favour of the motion but the necessary majority was 75 per cent.

But the e.g.m did approve the sale of other UK and Republic of Ireland properties raising euro 186m for the company.
