Brussels - Former Belgian prime minister Mr JeanLuc Dehaene confirmed yesterday that he plans to run for mayor in his home town.
Mr Dehaene (59), who led the country for seven years before a food scare and corruption scandals turned opinion against him in last summer's general election, said he would be a Christian Democrat candidate in Vilvoorde, north of Brussels.
