In a unique and remarkable project, John Scott's Irish Modern Dance Theatre collaborates with dance photographer Chris Nash, who recently projected a spectacular mix of dance, photography and animation on to the walls of the Royal National Theatre in London. Appropriately titled Off the Wall: Millennium Dances, a series of giant images will be projected on to the wall of Temple Bar's Gallery of Photography, so that the entire frontage on Meeting House Square becomes a multi-coloured three-dimensional world. Figures will be seen dancing, turning, jumping, multiplying, climbing, flying, rotating, tumbling, spiralling and falling across the wall. Over Thursday and Friday, two giant projectors imported from Sweden and weighing over a ton will be used to run the show (choreographed by John Scott), continuously from 9.30 p.m. to 11.30 p.m. Admission is free, funded by an Art Council grant.
